Lanier House Tea Room & Private Venue! We are located on 20 Martin Street in the historic district of Downtown Madison. Our hope is to create a beautiful atmosphere open for anyone to join us for a lovely afternoon tea. Our space will also be available for private venue bookings. We want to bring something special to the Madison area. Bridal luncheons, tea with an old or new friend, birthdays, baby showers, children's parties, rehearsal dinners and more will all find their perfect space here. Relax amidst an ambiance of vintage allure, with soft notes of “Moon River” guiding you through an experience as chic and unforgettable as Tiffany’s iconic blue box. From delicate croissant pastries to mouthwatering lemon tarts, each element is crafted to transport you to the heart of New York City, where dreams are big and mornings begin with diamonds.

We also want to say a HUGE thank you to all of the support our community has given us. This year has been a dream and we could not have done it without you. Thank you for letting a fun business idea turn into something so wonderful. We can’t wait to see where 2025 brings us!

As our business continues to expand and our staff and expenses continue to grow we will be increasing our Afternoon Tea price from $27 per person to $30 per person starting on January 7th.

What we Serve:
$27 Adult Tea Service comes with three savories, two breads, and three deserts.
Each tier is professionally paired with a different tea
We don’t offer tea choice, as many people in Alabama are not familiar with hot tea, and we also find it to be a fun experience to try new teas each time!

When:
We are open Tue-Sat and Every 4th Sunday with three tea times: 11am, 1pm, 3pm
Each tea time is exactly 90 minutes

Menus:
Our menu changes every month! Each of our menu items are chosen based on a theme and fresh seasonal produce!
We’ve had themes like Alice in Wonderland, Bridgerton, Romeo & Juliet and we have many more to come!!
Many of our guests visit us every month!!

What to Wear:
We do not have an official dress code, however we absolutely LOVE to see all of you dress up! and what better excuse to pull out your favorite dresses and hats than tea!
